Cirie blindsided 4-2 at the F6 and out of S-tier; Rick's Shot in the Dark ends 6-0

TL;DR: Episode 12 runs two tribals on consecutive days. Rick plays his Shot in the Dark at the F7 tribal, draws "Not safe," and is voted out 6-0. Cirie is blindsided 4-2 at the F6 tribal after the alliance of Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, and Aubry pivots from her vote on Aubry. Cirie loses 44.9 SHALLOW in a single night and crashes out of S-tier. She exits at 1706.1, still the highest active US Elo rating on the cast. The Final 5 are Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, Aubry, and Tiffany.

Episode 12: What Happened

Seven players entered Day 22. Joe won a combined immunity and reward challenge over the other six. At the F7 tribal, Rick used his Shot in the Dark; the result was "Not safe." His vote did not count and he had no protection. The other six all voted Rick. He exited 6-0 as the 17th boot.

Day 23 brought the F6 immunity challenge. Tiffany won her second individual immunity of the season. At tribal, Cirie and Tiffany targeted Aubry; the quartet of Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, and Aubry voted Cirie. Cirie was voted out 4-2 as the 18th boot. The Final 5 are Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, Aubry, and Tiffany.

The narrative behind the blindside traces to Episode 11. Ozzy walked Aubry through the Cirie-Rizo alliance structure and Cirie's extra vote on Day 21, reportedly to manage the jury, expecting his own Hidden Idol to keep him safe at the second tribal. He did not play the idol and exited. Aubry carried the information forward; the F4 alliance entered Episode 12 with a clear read on Cirie's protective layer, and the read held when the F6 vote arrived.

Cirie's Fall From the Top

Cirie entered Episode 12 at 1751.0, S-tier, the highest active SHALLOW rating in the game and the only S-tier player on the cast. She left at 1706.1. Her -44.9 net change in one night is the largest single-episode SHALLOW drop of her US50 run; the loss landed entirely at the second tribal, where the boot register subtracted 47.0 from her rating in two stages of vote and outlast losses.

The model treats Cirie's vote on Aubry at the second tribal as four wrong votes; she registers losses against the four players who voted her out and survived past her. Her outlast line registers losses to the five players who survived the night: Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, Aubry, and Tiffany. Tiffany alone costs her 6.2 SHALLOW, the largest outlast loss to a single opponent that night, because Tiffany entered the tribal lowest in rating.

Cirie drops from S-tier to A-tier on exit. Her career US50 vote record finishes 19W-4L; she entered Episode 12 with no wrong US50 votes on her ledger and ended with the four registered against her at the F6. She remains the highest-rated US Elo from this cast and the third-highest active US player overall, behind Parvati (1772.6) and Ben (1715.5). Her +23.1 season change is the third-best among eliminated US50 players, behind Ozzy (+78.4) and Emily (+29.8).

The model does not see why she lost. It sees only that her vote landed on Aubry while everyone else's landed on her.

Rick's Shot in the Dark

Rick entered Episode 12 at 1570.0, B-tier, sixth among active SHALLOW. He left at 1530.3.

The Shot in the Dark mechanic forfeits the player's vote in exchange for a one-in-six chance at immunity. Rick drew "Not safe." The model records his vote line as 0W-6L with the note "no vote: Shot in the dark" against each opponent. He takes a full set of vote losses with no chance to register a correct vote because the mechanic removed his vote from the count.

Rick's -39.7 is the largest boot loss since Stephenie's -72.3 in Episode 10, second on the night to Cirie's -44.9. He finishes the season at -3.6, the smallest absolute change of any eliminated US50 player who actually attended tribal. The Episode 12 loss erases the +36.1 of season gain he had built through ten correct post-merge votes. His final US50 record is 11W-12L, below 50% accuracy, but the rating barely moves because correct votes paid him at low pre-merge rates and the wrong-vote losses came from a single forced tribal.

The F4 Alliance

Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, and Aubry voted together at both Episode 12 tribals. Each finished the night with a 3W-0L vote line and a 2W-0L outlast line.

Four identical lines, four slightly different changes. The +21.3 to +19.4 spread reflects the Elo tax on rating: Aubry started the episode lowest among the four and gains most per matchup; Joe started highest and gains least. The model does not know which member of the alliance ran the plan against Cirie or which one floated the original vote on Aubry. It registers four players voting twice correctly and outlasting two boots.

Joe began US50 at 1563.5, Rizo at 1557.5, Jonathan at 1594.6 (4W-24L by Episode 9), Aubry at 1535.2 (her lowest pre-season rating since her US debut). The four are now the four highest-rated active players, in that order: Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, Aubry.

Three active players (Joe, Rizo, Aubry) still hold zero wrong US50 votes. Jonathan voted correctly at both tribals; Tiffany voted Rick correctly and Aubry incorrectly at the F6.

Quick Hits

Three of the five finalists have perfect US50 vote records. Joe 18W-0L, Rizo 18W-0L, Aubry 16W-0L. Cirie carried an 18W-0L line into the episode and broke it with one cast. Of the four players still alive with zero wrong votes entering Episode 12, three remain.

Rizo's idol is still in his pocket. The survivoR dataset records the Episode 5 Hidden Idol (found by Genevieve, passed to Rizo) as played at Cirie's tribal on Day 23 with a "Not needed" status; aired recaps put the play one tribal later at the F5. Either reading produces the same SHALLOW effect: zero votes nullified, zero rating impact. The only US50 idol play that has changed a vote count to date remains Rick's nullification of two votes in Episode 11.

Tiffany's small +2.7 with immunity. Tiffany won the F6 immunity challenge and was the only F6 player who voted incorrectly. The +9.9 from outlasting Rick is mostly offset by 4 outlast and 4 vote losses against the alliance. Immunity protected her physically but the model treats voting position as the primary input; one wrong vote at F6 against four opponents costs more than the safe outlast paid.

Cirie ends as the highest-rated US Elo from this cast. Her 1706.1 is the third-highest active US rating overall, behind Parvati (1772.6) and Ben (1715.5). The Final 5 holds four top-20 active US players entering Episode 13: Joe, Rizo, Jonathan, and Aubry. Tiffany at 1542.4 is the only finalist outside the top 25 active.

BEAST Update

Two challenges, two different winners. Joe won the F7 combined immunity and reward; Tiffany won the F6 individual immunity.

Tiffany's +23.8 is her third gain of the season from an individual immunity win. She entered F6 at 1545.3, the third-lowest in the challenge, and finished first against five higher-rated opponents. Joe gains only +7.3 despite his first-place finish at F7; his pre-episode 1680.7 was the highest in the field, and the Elo tax limits gains for the favorite. The model's expectation for Joe is to win, and meeting expectation pays small.

Cirie ends the season at 1307.6 BEAST, F-tier, the lowest BEAST exit of any US50 finisher. Her SHALLOW (1706.1) sits 398 points above her BEAST (1307.6). She finishes US50 as the season's strategic protagonist and the season's worst challenge performer.

Compare: Aubry's Four US Appearances

Aubry enters Episode 13 at 1631.7, the highest career SHALLOW rating she has ever held. Her three prior US seasons ended with declining or flat ratings; US50 has produced a single-season change larger than all three prior arcs combined.

Aubry's Kaôh Rōng run as a runner-up gained her 105.5 SHALLOW, her career high through 2016. Two subsequent returns subtracted 70.3 between them. US50 has erased the deficit and added more; her current 1631.7 is the highest career SHALLOW rating she has ever held, and she enters Episode 13 with a clean 16W-0L US50 vote record.

The model has no opinion on the merits of fourth-time returnees. It registers each correct vote and each outlast against opponents rated by their full histories. Aubry's pre-season 1535.2 reflected three appearances, none ending in a win. Her current rating reflects the most aggressive single-season climb of her career.
